- Founded in 2007, Cinevolution is the winner of the 2012 Richmond Arts Awards for Artistic Innovation. A non-profit film and media arts society that seeks to increase media literacy, raise social awareness, and build community through film and media art, we believe that art and film can move the human spirit regardless of age, race, gender, language, or ethnicity. By making a wide variety film and art forms accessible to our communities and empowering them to produce their own art or film, we empower them to change the world.

Your Kontinent Festival in Richmond Offers Cutting-Edge Cultural Experiences
A unique summer festival which combines international films and media art performances with delicious food and drink, Your Kontinent offers a savory cultural experience packed with insights and inspirations.
Taking place at the heart of Richmond’s downtown district from July 20-22, the Your Kontinent: Richmond International Film and Media Arts Festival is a community-wide celebration of arts and culture that has something for everyone.
Proudly presented by the City of Richmond and Cinevolution Media Arts Society, the 2012 YK Festival has assembled a stunning array of films, performances and audio-visual art pieces to explore Richmond and the Lower Mainland’s multicultural communities in all their beauty and complexity.
Program highlights are:
* "You+Me" Youth Media Day featuring Zero Silence: A Film About the Free World
* Featured Artist Margaret Dragu: a retrospective and performance
