We are looking to hire a number of remaining coordinator positions to work with our current staff of 13 people - plus with new teams of volunteers. The Coordinators will work with our team to ensure coverage of daily responsibilities and overall operations of the W2 Culture + Media House during the month of February. These roles are for folks who like team work and want to contribute to an exciting Olympic experience for themselves and the community. Honorarium will be paid for these 'labour of love' kinda jobs.

  • Available Positions

    • Broadcasting Coordinator
    • Security Coordinator
    • Social Media Co-Coordinator(s)
    • Media Relations Coordinator
    • Guest Services Coordinator
    • Operations Coordinator
    • Technical Coordinator

These positions are a 100+ hours commitment during the month including training and orientation sessions.

Coordinators should have a background in a related field for the position they are applying for including education or working experience.

  • Skills and Qualifications

    • Professional certificate or degree in a related field and/or 2 years recent equivalent experience
    • At least 2 years’ experience with start-to-finish project management
    • Proven experience in supporting, engaging and supervising volunteers
    • Superior administrative, organizational and time management skills and attention to detail
    • Proven capacity with report writing and program evaluation
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Experience working across cultures, with a demonstrated and articulated commitment to implementing and living anti-racist and anti-oppression practices and strategies
    • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize, with a high level of self-motivation, direction and initiative
    • Ability to represent the agency in the community including a high degree of professionalism
    • Ability to resolve conflicts using pro-active, solution-oriented and non-violent strategies
    • Proven skills in event planning, coordination, and promotion
