CJSF is a radio station that provides a venue for music, news and voices marginalized in the mainstream radio.
We are run almost entirely by volunteers, and every voice you hear on the radio is unpaid.
We're heading into the fall and we've launched several new shows, including a new arts and entertainment show. Tune in!

ANYONE CAN CONTRIBUTE TO CJSF. You do not have to be a student nor do you need any experience in radio - we provide all the training. To get involved, come to a station orientation. Station orientations are held at CJSF in Burnaby, on:
the 1st Friday of each month at 6:15pm,
the 2nd Friday of each month at 3pm,
and the 3rd Tuesday of each month 4pm.

Interested in filmmaking? Want to get involved in your community while learning hands-on filmmaking skills?

In the spirit of grassroots social change, Pull Focus Film School brings together emerging filmmakers, activists, non-profit practitioners, and media innovators in an environment that encourages conversation, collaboration and creative engagement in social change.

The goal of Pull Focus is to empower students to tell stories they care about while raising awareness about many of the amazing and ambitious efforts that are currently being undertaken within the non-profit community.

Pull Focus celebrates its spring program with an Open House on April 26th at 306 Abbott Street in Gastown. Come experience the ‘social change’ spirit, in tandem with the exciting evolution of the local mediascape.

Upcoming courses include:
-Documentary Filmmaking
-Filmmaking for the Web
-Intro to Final Cut Pro
-Political Animation

Visit our space and meet the people behind Pull Focus Film School. Connect with other aspiring filmmakers. Enjoy snacks and see some of the great work our students are doing. Hope you can join us!

If you can, please come hear Irwin Oostindie speaking at SFU Burnaby Mountain today, Jan. 27, 2-3 pm. He'll be addressing the W2 SFU Student Club Meetup in MBC 2296 (Maggie Benston Centre - next door to CJSF). CJSF is a core member of W2 and W2 will be providing our members many new opportunities.
