DESCRIPTION:<b>RespondencyWest</b>: a unique lecture and reading salon
  modeled on the highly successful Influency series organised by Margar
 et Christakos in Toronto. We share her enthusiasm for critical engagem
 ent with poetry and her desire to foster a connection between writers 
 and readers. Each night will feature: intro, original 30-minute lectur
 e by the first poet(s) and a 30-minute reading by the other poet(s), f
 ollowed by lively group discussion. Facilitators are Jordan Scott and 
 Jason Christie.\n\n<b>Participants in RespondencyWest</b> read a book 
 of poetry each week to prepare for the evening`s guest poet and are en
 couraged to share responses and ideas during the class, over email, or
  by posting on the <a href=\"http://respondencywest.wordpress.com/\" t
 arget=\"_blank\">RespondencyWest blog.</a> Cost $20-30 for entire seri
 es. If the cost is prohibitive, please let us know. <b>We will not tur
